As a writer, I am kind of obsessed with narrative. I pick apart the stories around me and wonder how best to tell them. Stories matter, and it is always amazing to me how starting a story in a different place or perspective can completely alter what readers/moviegoers take away from the story. This year between the Yizkor services of Yom Kippur and Sukkot, I had one particular narrative on my mind.
